Who loves the smell of warm, fresh-baked bread in the fall? We do! That’s why we whipped up a batch of Hot Apple Spice Bread, and it was so delicious we had to share the recipe.
Ingredients :
- 250ml of milk
- 3 sachets Harney & Sons Hot Apple Spice tea (ou 3 teaspoons of loose tea)
- 440 g of all-purpose flour
- 4 g of baking powder
- 2 g of baking soda
- 4 g of ground cinnamon
- 2 g of salt
- 150 g of butter room temperature
- 270 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 60 ml of sunflower oil
- 5 ml of vanilla extract
- 12 g of rolled oats (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 190°C. Grease a 22cm x 12,7cm loaf pan.
- On the stove or in the microwave heat the milk until near boiling. Add the Hot Apple Spice tea sachets into the milk. Allow to cool.
- Strain through a sieve, discard solids, and reserve milk.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream together, with an electric mixer, the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and mix until incorporated. Beat in the oil and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture. Stir in the tea brewed milk, mixing until the batter is uniform and smooth.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. If desired, sprinkle with the rolled oats.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting and serving.
